James Hardie® Siding
James Hardie Fiber Cement Siding in Eugene & Springfield, OR.
Durable, fire-resistant, low-maintenance siding that protects your home through long PNW winters — and complements the new roof we just put on it.
Why we install James Hardie exclusively
There are a lot of siding products on the market. We chose to focus on one: James Hardie fiber cement. It's the right material for Pacific Northwest homes, and standardizing on it means our installs are consistently high-quality every time.
Highly durable
James Hardie fiber cement is engineered to outlast wood, vinyl, and most composite alternatives. It resists rot, warping, and the moisture damage that wears down lesser siding in the wet PNW climate. Manufacturer warranties typically run 30 years on the substrate.
Fire-resistant
Fiber cement is non-combustible — a meaningful safety upgrade over wood siding, especially as wildfire risk has become a regular concern in the Pacific Northwest. Many homeowner insurance policies recognize the upgrade.
Low-maintenance
Unlike wood, James Hardie doesn't need regular repainting, sanding, or rot-prone touch-ups. The factory-applied ColorPlus® finishes hold up against PNW UV and moisture for decades.
Available styles
We install the full James Hardie range — including HardiePlank® lap, HardiePanel® vertical, HardieShingle®, and HardieTrim® accents — in any color from the ColorPlus® palette. So you get architectural variety (traditional lap, modern vertical, shake-style, or mixed) without the maintenance tradeoff.

Why siding choice matters in the PNW
Pacific Northwest winters are long, wet, and unforgiving of marginal materials. Properly installed siding — with the right flashing, house wrap, and seam treatment — keeps moisture out of your wall assembly, protects your insulation, and dramatically extends the life of everything underneath it. Cutting corners on siding eventually shows up as rotted sheathing and bigger bills. James Hardie's fiber cement is purpose-built for this kind of climate.
If you're already getting a new roof, doing the siding at the same time means the flashing tie-ins are handled together — which is the most common spot for long-term moisture problems.
